My Story
Charlene Raddon never intended to be a writer, but a vivid dream changed things in 1980. She dragged out a portable typewriter and poured the story out onto paper. It was never published, but led to her second book, Tender Touch, which won a Colorado Gold contest as a historical, reached the final round of an RWA Golden Heart contest, and earned her an agent. A few years later, she signed a contract with Kensington Books.
Brought up near Los Angeles, Charlene dreamed of living in a small town. That dream came true in 1971 when she relocated to a small rural town in Utah. Life took her back to a city, but her heart remains in wide-open places.
Unable to sit idle and needing an outlet for her artistic side, Charlene creates book covers for her books as well as for other authors through Silver Sage Book Covers. Her hobbies are traveling, spoiling her grandchildren, crocheting, dyeing Ukrainian-style eggs, and assisting other writers.
