What Readers are Saying

* * * * * Sweet Historical Romance “A couple side romances that have been building in the other stories comes to fruition! We heard about Thalia’s young age, but never heard how much older the man she marries is. I look forward to the end of this series, only because I know Mortimer will finally get his comeuppance! Not sure what to make of the new stranger to town. I wonder if he’ll have his own romance too!!” ~ Cindy Nipper

* * * * * Great historical fiction “This is another book in the Widows of Wildcat Ridge series. I loved the mystery aspect Thalia’s story had. A great clean historical fiction book that can be read by anyone. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.” ~ Paula

* * * * * Another winner for the Widows of Wildcat Ridge! “Thalia Plunkett is a beautiful, headstrong woman who is to be admired for her strength in awkward situations. Rather than be concerned about what townspeople will think, she is more concerned about the needs of Dinky Moon. Dinky starts off as a weak man, pining for the wife who left him and he’s crawled into a bottle as a result. With a lot of encouragement from Thalia, he is able to see her for the gem she is and to find himself on that difficult road to sobriety. He is stronger than he realizes. A new man appears in town who seems to have a grudge against Thalia. Who is he? She’s never seen him before, so why the grudge? There are many people involved in this story, but Ms. Raddon makes each of them a well-developed individual, easily to distinguishable from one another. Thalia and Dinky are perfect foils and one can feel the frustration seething from both sides. The world building is magnificent and it is easy to see the hot springs, Pricilla and Braxton’s home and the town in this brilliantly crafted story. This is just one of Ms. Raddon’s contributions to the Widows of Wildcat Ridge and her others are well worth reading as are the stories from the other authors. This is an outstanding series with more to come!” ~ Belinda Wilson

* * * * * Entertaining read. “Thalia is determined to help Dinky. Since his wife left him he is constantly drunk. Can Thalia help the man she loves get sober and can they save the newspaper office? Of course is there the town villain Mortimer Crane but there’s a new man in town, what are his plans?
I really enjoyed this entertaining story. Thalia is a very strong character that will do a lot to help her friend Dinky but is also one of the main characters in the town. I’ve read a couple of the books in this series and I really liked them all.” ~ Nethanja Koenen

* * * * * Another great story by Charlene Raddon. “I really enjoyed this story about a girl who tries to sober up the man she loves, Duncan Moon turns to drink after his wife leaves him. Thalia has always loved Dinky Moon, but he never notices. Of course, she eventually succeeds, but that’s the nature of romance, the journey they take to get there.” ~ Tina Foster

* * * * * Terrific characters! “Characters and plot, the two most important things in a great book, and this book has them both! It’s an unusual story line and I’m sure it works so well because of the layered characters. Not overdone, but enormously strong and interesting. Thalia carries you right along. Loved it from start to finish, and didn’t find any problems like one reviewer mentioned. Excellent writing, highly recommend.” Kindle Customer
