What Readers are Saying

* * * * * Needs to be a Movie “I read lots and lots of books sometimes two a day….Ms Raddon you should push this one for a screen play it would make a wonderful movie..the characters and the drama are so colorful and the story so well played..really check into making having this one a movie…Loved it! ” ~ Anne Templeton W

* * * * * Wonderful love story “I enjoyed this book but especially the children. It was a beautiful love story, I laughed and cried and could not put the book down until I finished it.
The little girls lisp and the toddler making up his own words were precious. I can tell you one thing there is NO WAY I could of lived in a sod house with snakes and bugs…yuch. Thank God I was born in the era of wood homes and cars. I have learned so much from reading I feel like I could build my own sod house and later a log cabin! The women and men back then were so much stronger than we are today and I thank them for their sacrifices. Very enjoyable love story, can’t wait to read her next book.” ~ KM Grandma’s reading

* * * * * I am so glad I read it! “Tempest Whitney is scratching out a living and barely managing that. She feeds her kids, but just that and any money she could get her father drinks away. The local bully intends to force her into marriage. Buck Maddux, the man who put her husband out of his misery as he lay dying, fulfills his promise to a dying man and comes calling to check on Tempest and the children. In no time, their lives are entangled as he tries to keep his promise by saving her from a forced marriage and from penury. No quick read, this novel is layers of fully developed characterization of all the players and seeing how they have been shaped by life and how they intersect into each other’s baggage laden lives. I am so glad I read it!” ~ Shari

* * * * * A really good story. “I liked the story a lot. The author does a really good job of showing the growing relationship between the two main characters. The writing is very good and the characters are well drawn. The plot has a lot of twists and turns that keep your interest throughout. I give it five stars. SHEILA HUNTINGTON, author of JADE and MORNING GLORY WOMAN.!” ~ Sheila Huntington

* * * * * Intense Western Romance Adventure “This was a well written intense story that you could feel every emotion in the relationship between Tempest and Buck with their growing relationship that was so much like real life with their feelings of lust, trust, fear and trying to hide their love from themselves and each other.
Buck, all male in every way.Tempest a strong willed woman full of love and need for Buck who made her feel alive. Jonas who you hated for being a cruel pathetic type of man that loves to beat up on woman and is a disgrace to his heritage. The story was so real with good and bad emotions that you would feel in real life back then. The adventure in the last half of the book was so intense that I thought I was watching a movie instead of reading words. I highly recommend this western romance with growing intensity and adventure.Great writing and Great read.” ~ Shirl
