And when they finally reach Denver, Elise’s troubles are far from over. With no home, no job, and no money, she must rely on Garrick for help and protection. But as their feelings for each other deepen, Garrick is suddenly called away on a mission, leaving Elise vulnerable to Maeve’s schemes.
