Sierra’s Tumble
A Time Travel Romance
The past never stays buried. Sometimes, it refuses to die.
In the ghost town of Tyrell, Idaho, Sierra West is investigating a murder from long ago. But in pursuit of answers, she discovers a hole in time – a portal to 1878, when Tyrell was a silver boomtown in its violent prime.
On the other side of history, Sierra meets Gidry Tyrell, owner of the mine she now explores in the present. Gidry is on the hunt for his brother’s killer, in a town where life is cheap and death comes easy.
With her brother’s help, Sierra joins Gidry’s search for justice in a lawless land. But back through the hole in Tyrell’s bloody past, dangers multiply like ghosts. An escaped killer is desperate to erase the sins of history. Grave robbers are plundering native lands, unleashing evil spirits in retaliation. And orphaned children have fallen prey to a cruelty more terrifying than smallpox in the silver mines.
The Wests came to close an unsolved mystery, never imagining they’d have to save innocent lives across the chasm of time – or sacrifice their future to right wrongs of the past. On the frontier, evil never surrenders without a fight. To win justice for souls lost long ago, they’ll battle a remorseless evil…in a place where death comes swiftly and justice has no future unless they forge it in the sins of yesterday.
What Readers are Saying
* * * * * What a surprise! “I was expecting a western romance novel. Not my cup of tea, but I was introduced to this author’s writing almost by accident and so read this book. What I found was not JUST a romance novel. Instead, Charlene Raddon married a true western story with a supernatural storyline that had, yes, romance. I’m sure any true romance fan will think it checks all the boxes, but even if you left out the romance, this is a terrific novel. I will read more of this lady’s books!” ~ Jim
* * * * * Excellent! “Charlene Raddon at her best. Fresh and real characters, fabulous plot, and a murder mystery that is hard to solve, and harder to put down. A perfect read, from start to finish, buy this book and enjoy the ride, I did, and I know you will, too.” ~ Michael Nails
* * * * * A time travel book you can believe in. “I really enjoyed the characters. The author made it very believable when Sierra West finds herself time traveling to 1878. I got involved with the orphan children and how Sierra West and Gidry took care of them. I could easily see this as a set up for a couple of sequels. Sierra’s brother, who went back in time, and decided to stay there, and got involved with the school teacher. She could write another book about when Sierra and Gidry return to the future and the culture shock he goes through learning about modern things. A very enjoyable book.” ~ Tina Foster
* * * * * I love time travel novels, and this was a good one “Love’s Race to the Future is a time travel story of Sierra West and her brother, Trevor, who hike to a mine in search of information about a child’s skeleton. After falling into a deep hole and climbing through a tunnel, they emerge to find they are now near Tyrell Town, a place that doesn’t exist in 2017. There, they meet Gidry Tyrell, who claims it’s 1878. They help him search for his brother’s killer and hold onto the gold mine Gidry inherited from his brother, but another man named Frank wants to claim the mine and causes trouble. Sierra is troubled by the plight of destitute and abused orphans left from a smallpox epidemic and tries to help them. Can she find the child whose skeleton she saw with the meager information she has? Attracted to Gidry, she worries he doesn’t care for her, even when he offers marriage so they can adopt the orphans, but Frank and his associates stand in their way. Threats from the villains kept me reading on to see what would happen next.” ~ Carolyn Williamson
* * * * * Love’s Race To The Future! “I loved it so much, I bought the book when it became available. A different twist on time travel and one I enjoyed. Wonderfully well written characters and I absolutely despised the cruel nasty ones. There are a few sad moments in the book, where I cried. Very true to some of the cruelties of the times. I enjoyed the romance between the two main characters and would love to see a second book about a few others that touched my heart. All in all, a well written and very enjoyable book with a satisfactory beginning and ending” ~ Arlene Judy Esposito
