Dances in Moonlight: Sweet Western Historical Romance
Romantic, young Beth Webster dreams of traveling to the west. She’s fascinated by the idea of the noble Native American Indian described by James Fenimore Cooper in his novel, The Last of the Mohicans, and can’t wait to meet one. She gets her wish sooner than anticipated when her mother dies, and Beth must travel from her New York finishing school to join her army father at his fort in Utah Territory. On the long, dangerous journey, she falls in love with a kind, handsome half breed scout, Sparrow Hawk, but their chances of a future together are slim. Beth’s father bears an intense grudge against Indians.
Hawk loves Beth, but he’s enough of a realist to know the future of their relationship is likely doomed. When he learns his mother is dying, he leaves the army supply train to go to her, leaving Beth to travel on with the party, promising to return for her.
But will he?
Beth is miserable living with her cold, army father at the distant, isolated fort. She misses Hawk. If he does come for her, will they be able to have the happy future together they dream of? Or will her father’s hatred tear them apart and possibly end Hawk’s life?
